Shore Lark - Lasem Mountains - IranThe Shore Lark (Eremophila alpestris), also called the Horned Lark, breeds across northern Iran heights from the North West Alborz to north east heights. There is also an isolated breeding population on south east Iran. It is mainly resident its range, but often migrates to open lands in the winter.
Northern (Alborz) populations of this passerine bird are migratory, moving further south in winter. This is a bird of open ground. In Iran it breeds above the tree line in mountains of northern heights.

Nice work. Your pics are really impressive. Definitely this will bring us more information on Iranian endemic birds and might consequently eventuate to some valuable projects to save some parts of them. We need the government help in putting more money to reduce the jeopardize of their living habitats.
